It can take a bit to get over the stigma of watching a show whose original target audience is little girls. I found myself wondering what the hell I was doing a few times as a grown ass man but it ended up hooking me into it's charm, Honestly though as long as you don't take it too seriously and treat it for what it is I think you'll have a good time with it, It really is a good show with good characters. You will have to watch out a bit though, the fandom can be a bit overzealous at times though I guess that can go with fans of any show as I'm sure you know,

2023-05-21 18:40:43 +0000 UTCOh, you guys only did part one here? I haven't finished watching yet, but looking forward to the second part. Almost every one of the season start/finales are 2-part stories except for the first season's finale. I started watching this in my early teens, I even moderated some of the pony social sites as I got older! 24 now, probably about 13 when I started. I will say outright that for a returning watcher of the show, season 1 is a bit of a drag. It's funny, it's important, but it shows its age as a pre-brony experience. Season 2 and beyond realized that we existed and the show had a lot more going on that you wouldn't see in other animations at the time. I do hope you enjoy this show though, it's a charming little adventure about a bunch of horses finding their place in the world. Gods, monsters, and really messed up creatures await! As an aside, season 1 has a color error. Everything is a little off-color because of when these were produced. Season 2 fixed it.
