2023-10-09 08:22:07 +0000 UTCYou’ve officially gotten to the plot line that initially got the show axed. Rebecca gave up a 6th season because she refused to give up this wedding. Ruby and Sapphires were a bit contentious at the time, a number of localizations specifically voiced and named Ruby as male to avoid having the implied lesbian relationship. This wedding was a bit of a piss off to that (especially when you actually get to the wedding itself, you’ll understand why).

I'm sure others will tell you the details. So I won't start the "train of repetition" here...but it's just as dumb as a reason as you think it is.
