It was worrisome when Sapphire was the hurt one this time. But there was such a buildup of her future vision being tested and the massive changes that all the characters are going through. For so long (when Rose was still alive) they didn’t change really. They stayed the same dynamic as a group. But Steven and his ability to change, not only changing himself but he’s changing the gems as well. So of course Sapphire was confused by all the off path things Steven has and will do. Especially since she never could’ve guessed Rose and PD. Such a good pair of episodes.

2023-10-17 22:35:45 +0000 UTCA bit off topic but i love how although rose/pink and peridot have little to nothing in common both of them had the same epiphany at the same kindergarten. Both originally saw them as creating life but after seeing life on earth and the damage the kindergartens caused led both them to seeing it killing life. To quote peridots line 'But life dosen't start in a kindergarten. It ends here.'
