When steven was in the extraction chamber and one of you mentioned it was weird that the drain only showed yellow blue and white diamonds insignias. Thats because it was a newly built sauna in era 2, after pink diamond was presumed dead, so anything that would have been built with the 4 diamond's insignias was built with just the three.

I wasn’t sure if you guys got it and I sure didn’t until like my 5th listen of the song, but it’s less about him being familiar because of pink’s memories, more about it being familiar from his own memories. As he said exactly, Pink’s situation is a pretty clean parallel of his own very early on in the show. Familiar is about him realizing that the way she felt and was treated was exactly like how he was before he could go on missions! And he comes up with the idea to get them together and prove his worth like he did to the gems. I find it fascinating, love these episodes!

Zach really did make the show so good with his voice. These later episodes make me crazy happy cause it seems like he was finally able to strain his voice less pretending to still be young. Have you listened to his album at all?

Love this episode and love pondering over the potential family dynamics. Since they’re gems they don’t have your typical familial structures since they don’t HAVE families, but yellow and blue always struck me as PD moms or something. I started thinking that when Stevonnie had the dream about being pink Diamond and Yellow appeared in the dream as Connie’s mom, and I also rewatched ‘what’s the use in feeling, blue?’ and the vibes gave me mourning parents struggling to connect after the loss of their child. I DUNNO, ANYWAY…..It’s kinda funny to me to look at frames of Priyanka and Doug alongside ones of Yellow and Blue. They make the same faces 💀 The Homeworld episodes are so baller. They have some of the best songs in there imo, you haven’t gotten to my favorite yet but it’s coming and it’s good :) White is TERRIFYING to me. They did a good job with her design and making her very in line with other gems while also being something Entirely Different. I don’t wanna call it uncanny valley cause it’s not, but I feel like if you were forced to look at her irl it would make your brain fizzle like some tv static…like how seeing something uncanny might make you do!! She seems spooky. I like that they showed the diamonds wanting her approval while also being clearly terrified of her. It adds a lot to me, in my dissection of them as characters. What must it mean when someone like yellow or blue fear White’s reaction to Pink? What does it say about Yellow, her volunteering to be the one to take the brunt of her Judgement to protect the others? It’s all stuff I loooove to dig my teeth into. Point is they gave us a lot to study with white despite her only being on screen for like 10 seconds.

Familiar is the song I’ve listened to the most from the show, his voice has developed so beautifully throughout the series and that song is such a beautiful key to sing.
