Well i get what fry means wanting leela to love him and not the worms i still don't think it was a issue. The worms didn't replace fry but improved his body so he could finally express and show how he feels, something he almost always messiesup either due to his poor wording or actions. Theres a argument always to be made that our flaws are what define us but that doesn't mean we must live by or be limited by them.
