2023-12-13 11:07:43 +0000 UTCWatching the Old Masters retake Ba Sing Se is *so fucking hype* for me, like that was a whole ass treat on its own, that could be episode long and I’d love every minute of it but of course they shut that shit down quickly so it wouldn’t make sense to be episodes long. The part where Iroh’s breathing swells the fire and the fireball blasts through, omfg. And Piandao working in tandem with Master Paku was fucking dope. This is one of those shows you’ll actually just put on later in life, and buy secondhand on dvd if you ever find it “for a rainy day”. It’s a comfort show for so many of us *because* it was done so well, start to finish. My neighbor and I have been watching reactions to avatar for the entire two years we’ve been friends, and when I go over to make coffee they’re just casually watching the show in between reactions they watch with me.
