2023-12-18 09:42:43 +0000 UTCYea in retrospect stevens childhood was messed up with everything he's been through and now knowing that if it wasn't for his healing powers he really could of died from the injuries he has taken. The flashbacks definitely hit deep from the episodic ones of early season one to all the gems that have tried to kill steven including peridot before her becoming a crystal gem.

2023-12-15 17:50:40 +0000 UTCGod I love these episodes. Steven and Priyanka talking about his trauma had me tearing up. As someone with C-PTSD, it really hit home and it hit hard. The way they made it clear that all the cartoon gags that would have injured him *did* was crazy. So you’ve been introduced to the “big bad” of Steven universe future; his mental health! I like that they slowly brought it forward into the forefront. There were hints of it in all the previous episodes, but the episode where he sees Priya really cements what is happening. I’ve been really excited for you guys to get to this point and I’m glad you’re here. We’re in the home stretch! Will Steven go to therapy? Will Connie rethink her proposal rejection? What will Onion do about all this?! I’m looking forward to seeing :)
