In some episodes their treated as being just robots being dismantled and recycled when their busted or just thrown away, they can be bought and are the main product of moms friendly robot company after all. At the same time however robots have rights like being able to vote, find their own work, being charged and sentenced for crimes or even run for high offices like president of earth and have a place in the 1st class as rich and powerful robots. Through considering how in last episode Hermes saying he has filed to have them all reclassified as slaves i suppose no one in the future cares much about those little details.
