With most metal songs I don't find the need to dive into the meaning of the lyrics as much as I do with rap but I understand what they are saying after hearing it a few times on the radio. The issue with myself is that I play the drums so I'm much more inclined to pay attention to the detail of the instrumentation and sound of rock or metal vs the lyrics. This band's drummer is very underrated and should be spoken about along with the best technical drummers in history, he does so much and emphasizes the small details in between the main parts of the song which the majority of listeners wouldn't be able to pick up on unless you play drums or other instruments and know what you're hearing when you hear it.
