He did make it tho, sober today! Not many survived that era (early 90s) without overdoses or suicide, This era had a lot of men in pain and they talked about it in their music tapping into a new wave and style of Rock.

2022-03-23 21:05:24 +0000 UTCGood points, I never had any trouble understanding poetry in Rock music but with Rap it is different style of writing so I need Stevie for those tracks:) So ya I think its about what style of lyricism one grew up listening to. Stevie is just now starting to discover the clever lyrics and tactics used within these great Rock bands, so its a good journey for us to watch too, I think.

You're more used to breaking down rap lyrics we're 98% of the time it's very clear what they're talking about.

Cocaine gives you a blanket feeling as everything's feels good, for a moment while real snow also creates a blanket of beauty. Both are only temporary. He wants the beauty but not the pain. Feeling lost with out 'snow', feeling snowed in. "Come to believe" is out of the NA statements, he wants to find happiness without snow and soon or it may kill him.
