I was lost on that one too, but he put so much into it for someone else's song. I knew there must be a reason for that.

He sang My Girl at MTV Unplugged live right after he believed Courtney Love had an affair on him while she was in Europe on tour and the song is referencing catching the love of your life cheating and killing yourself after murdering her.. The song is seriously dark and now you can understand why it sounded like he had so much passion and understanding in his voice.. Incase no1 else truly answered that one 4ya Stevie

I LOVED Nirvana, lived in Seattle at one point so went to his home town, a depressing place. Tears where shed when he died, I remember the where and when of that day! His music is often about addiction, depression, anxiety, societal frustrations mixed with his very low self esteem. Sad man, tragic story! This story reflects on heroin use is how I see it: How he says "I will shiver all night with out you", "where were you last night?", Its cold" is all about withdraws.

Yeah it is a cover of a song, if you want to know the meaning behind the lyrics you can look it up, it is online. More Nirvana, this whole concert was good.

Kurt didn't write this song, it's an old folk song made famous by Leadbelly. Would be cool if you did some more Nirvana though!
