I was a child of extreme domestic abuse...and grew up to be a lot like Amber...I married a nice guy, calm, passive, and I beat him for not loving me enough. For not loving me so much he would kill me before he would let me leave. It ENRAGED me he could walk away so easy. But one night after I punched him about 10 times (he was trying to sleep), he kicked me away and busted my lip. He almost went to jail and got in a lot of trouble. He was labeled a man that would hit a woman. Not long after he divorced me (smartest thing he ever did). It took 10 years, many years of facing myself that I could admit, even to myself, that I was the crazy one. Woman want equal rights? Well then, we should be held accountable! Way to many want to continue to say a man should take abuse without reaction. We need to never let it be ok for anyone to lay hands on another, ESPECIALLY THE ONES WE CLAIM TO LOVE. JUSTICE FOR JOHNNY and my ex that I continue to apologize and assure him I was 100% to blame.
