To me, just another American's opinion which is irrelevant from the world view. It seems like the people that state this kind of BS actually think hip-hop only exists in the United States 🙄 I have a fan page and 50% of them are from Africa. Also many from the islands, South America, Pakistan... any country you can name, there's multiple fans from there. From a world perspective Eminem is the 🐐 to a variety of communities and ethnicity around the world.

Homeboy hosting the interview did make a couple decent points but using big sean wasn’t a great comparison for the younger audience of hip hop. But he was right when he said em shouldn’t be able to connect with a current rapper regarding the younger generation. It’s a whole different climate. That being said em already did all that in his time as far as connecting to a current audience and he did it better than most if not anybody during that time. And the biggest takeaway is that big sean isn’t a better rapper but he may be more impactful to the hearts and minds of the younger audiences of hip hop

When he said its only Joyner, Cole, and Kendrick in competition was he referring to who Eminem said was his competition in the Ringer? Because if he was, he didn't listen that well " unless you're Joyner, Kendrick or Cole or Sean then you're a goner"

i react the same as Stevie... i was with him, then he lost me with the music thing bc except to party songs... EM has song to way more moments and culture than Big Sean and the new artists have to show!! (FYI can anyone tell me a recent track more impactful and insane that Big Sean that can Beat "Darkness" ?)
Lot what he did on Recovery and some tracks on Relapse is some Real talk, and shit that is valid to all "cultures" Addiction to drugs and attention/Fame, overcoming those demons, Parenthood etc.... (and some gems from like When i'm gone/mockingbird that i didn't like much, but now i love it bc i have my Daughter and can understand and feel those lyrics.)

Misread this at first, but totally agree. Eminem is absolutely the measuring stick to which all other rappers are compared. And as the measuring stick, he stands taller than all the rest.

The fact is it doesn't matter what rapper it is they are comparing them to Eminem.
