One of my favorite albums. I love all the stages of his career, he's a monster no matter what. Castle and Arose make me cry, I can't listen to them often.

I believe the line on The Ringer about him thinking we got served a slider and the vocals were not autotuned, as well as him saying we missed bars. I definitely really like the album now.

Never asked for it. Never expected it. Never wanted it. Just wanted to rap and find respect. He had no idea he’d be modern times Shakespeare. Great kings/presidents/ never wanted the throne in the first place Heavy lies the crown. Respect.

This entire album is from Marshall the person. And that’s exactly what the disconnect was. Ppl are used to having some balance. And let’s not forget that over half his fan base are right wingers so they also didn’t love the album for bias reasons but also Em has always been political against corruption in government. He didn’t love The Clintons or endorse them back in the 90s or 2010’s .. he hated bush.. he liked Obama but didn’t endorse him and he hated trump but he also endorsed Biden thru an Ig post which I really wish he never did lol but other than that Em doesn’t pick sides he just disses who ever comes off racists or corrupt. He’s “anti ..can’t no government handle a commando ya man don’t want it” I rock with trump over Biden but i never let that affect how I felt about my favorite rapper of all time. And I wasn’t one of the people hating on it just cuz of the track list at the time n I still had hope for it but it was a huge let down. Bad beats/production n some bad/weird delivery n hooks. Castle n arose are great tho
