Bron is great no doubt and a certified top 10 player but no where near close to being top 5 let alone #1-2 and that’s not a knock on him. The media has babied him his entire career before he even got into the league. Take for example his rookies season. He robbed the shit outta Melo (melo won rookie of the month every single month, then bron go on to win rookie of the year?) but the media couldn’t let their “chosen one” lose face. If I were to make a hip-hop comparison I’d definitely compare him to Jay Z. The downfall of the nba (lack of competition) can also be contributed to him (as the best player on the planet he has to hold accountability) but there’s so much to it.
