Feburary Blog 2025

Hey all, it’s the first of the month so that means blog post time!

February is one of those months that I both like and don’t like. It's after the holidays and it's still pretty cold, but it’s still warm enough to drink lots of hot drinks (which I love), and gives me a lot of excuses for cuddling in a blanket. It just feels kind of cosy, haha.

For overall what I’ve been working on-

Faroff:

I’ve been scripting the next parts of Faroff, which I am excited to get to! We are finally getting into the meat of this story and I’m so happy (its almost been 4 years aaaaaa!)

This next part arc has been a long time coming and will have  some bumpy moments but also a lot of sweet, adorable moments. I do NOT like misunderstandings or meaningless drama, so I want to assure that any drama that happens will have purpose behind it.

The episode I’ve been working on will be out to you by Monday, and then I’ll be starting right into the boarding and sketches of the next episode. The sketches will hopefully be out to you late next week but it could be early into the week after, depending on how long the episode ends up being. 

The poll for Fenn’s Hard Helmet and above will be going out in a day or so! 

For Tobi’s Missing Button and above, I’ve been working on a post to explain my process that hopefully will finally come out this month!

Other projects:

I mentioned in my last blog post I am working on a new idea for (maybe?) entering the new webtoon contest. I finally have settled on an idea, and at the moment I am working on refining it. 

No art for it yet, BUT I can tell you it is going to be a bl fairy romance in a fantasy setting. I’ve always wanted to make a fairy story so I am excited to share more about this project as I work on it. You will most likely be getting some character designs and a synopsis of the story in the very near future. 

My husband (who is also an artist) will most likely be co-creating it with me to help get it done faster, since there is a deadline for May. The contest will require 3 finished episodes to enter, so depending on if we DO enter this contest, I may end up taking a very short hiatus from Faroff in March or April to finish it up. No confirmation on that yet cause I still haven't decided if I'm actually entering or not, but I’ll keep ya’ll posted.

My reasons for possibly entering this contest would be to get more of my work out there, but I want to assure all of you that my main priority is Faroff. If nothing would come of the contest, I would still go straight back into making Faroff because it is my baby. If anything would come of the contest, I’d still make Faroff LOL. Nothing's gonna stop me from getting to the end of this comic, so I just wanted to let ya’ll know that if you had any concerns. 

Other than work, I’ve been listening to a lot of musicals and playing video games! Fun fact, I actually saw Wicked’s original cast in 2003 (I’m old lol), but since the Wicked movie came out it's sparked my love for it back. I’ve been going down a musical rabbit hole of all my favorites and it's been a fun nostalgia trip. I’ve also been finishing up my first run of Baldur’s Gate 3 (been romancing Astarion lol).
