Hey everyone, we ended up watching the MMA 2019 Live as our very first because after the recommendations we were ITCHING to watch it so badly. Afterward, we noticed a lot of comments suggesting we should listen to the music first before diving into the performances, so we do apologise for rushing in blind, however this was genuinely the greatest performance we’ve ever seen of anything.
Moving forward, we’ll be making more of an effort to cover the music before watching the lives. Based on your recommendations, we’ll be checking out Save Me and Spring Day for the Tiny Desk concert, along with the Busan Live and 2021 Festa Live. After that, we’ll cover Airplane Pt. 2 and Life Goes On before getting into MMA 2018 and 2020.
As you guys have recommended, we might also check out another or multiple guides and videos to get to know them even better :)

But pls do check out their own concert lives - the connection you want to witness with ARMY, you can definitely see that in those videos!

Not sure if other armys have mentioned this, but during their Trainee days (before debut) they would practice singing while on the treadmill. They would perform choreos with masks on, and then try singing despite being out of breath. These guys are also used to practicing their many difficult choreos 12-14 hours a day. They said they practice each choreography again and again to master it so they can “automatically” do the moves without much thought. Like muscle memory, it becomes 2nd nature, which means less chances of mistakes. They also practice how to handle emergencies such as loose shoe laces, mic battery packs falling off them (usually attached as a belt) during performances, etc. There are videos of them, for example, Jimin tying his shoe laces in mid performance without skipping a beat, or Jungkook fixing the battery pack of his mic while performing on stage, without stopping or changing choreo. These guys are next level PROS at what they do, but they worked their butts off to get there. They are all perfectionists - to the point you’ll see videos of them in their younger years crying after a show because they were so disappointed in how they performed. What fueled them to work so hard?? The HATE and disrespect they got when they were unknown rookies. You guys should do a deep dive of that next. Understanding where they came from, the challenges they faced in the early years, will allow you to appreciate BTS even more. I do want to say though that I wish you all watched the 2018 first, before the 2019 performance. Lol! Also, for Jimin’s solo contemporary performance, he performed so perfectly that you can literally hit pause at any second of that performance and you will capture the beauty of his perfect lines. Dance teachers all over Korea ask their students to watch Jimin’s performances. Jimin has set the standard that high. A dance teacher wrote a book about dance and he used Jimin as an example. I bet you can google that. You’ll be hard pressed to find young dancers these days in Korea who don’t know who Jimin is. Lol! And that, honestly adds more depth to BTS performances and another reason they were able to widen the gap between themselves and other kpop groups. Also, he is dancing to their song called “I Need You” - another BTS classic song you should check out. Suga’s solo - have you guys reacted to BTS song called “Fire”? If not, you absolutely have to!! The MV and dance practice!! You asked what does he say there at the end? He says “I forgive you” in Korean - you’ll also hear this in the end of “Fire” song. Also wanted to add that all those lightsticks you see are BTS army bombs - specifically used for BTS concerts. Note, this is NOT a BTS concert. lol! This is an awards show!! Are you still wondering HOW they always get the Daesang sweep? Daesang means Grand Prize or top awards. (They have now banned lightsticks in these award shows because it is clear which artist/group dominates. You won’t see too many other groups’ lightsticks so they think it’s unfair for those groups).

2025-10-09 06:19:38 +0000 UTCMight just be my tired eyes but the video seemed a bit fuzzy. You may want to be sure to check the resolution on the videos. A lot of times services will default them to very low resolution and it makes it tough to really appreciate. And even more problematic if you get captions that need to be read. The hand sign goes waaay back to the start. It's a gun. And they are bullet proof.

So tired, I am pretty sure they just wanted to sit down, but they had to keep getting up to get the awards... There is backstage footage of them coming off the stage after their last song and just COLLAPSING on the ground. Staff always there with oxygen tanks at the ready. These men work so FREAKING hard for everything! All blood, sweat and tears! They are amazing. Thank you guys for recognizing their talent and hard work. Enjoy the ride! You guys are a lot of fun to watch. Vicariously experiencing BTS with you folks. Your reactions are genuine and smart. APOBANGOPO! BORAHAE! FIGHTING! 💜🫶💜🫶💜
