River WAS being cheeky when she said "....spoilers", because the answer to his question ("Who's that?"), was HIM - but she couldn't tell him that. It was intentionally ironic.

I look it up, get the explanations, and then instantly forget again. (It's almost as if the explanations were being given me by those creepy memory-wipe aliens.)

2025-09-24 21:58:12 +0000 UTCOne of the big marketing pushes they had for this season was teasing that one of either the Doctor, River, Amy, or Rory were going to die. No regeneration had been announced, so most people were assuming Rory was on deck for his 900th death. Quite a twist at the time! And get well soon Angela!

2025-09-24 21:51:35 +0000 UTCI might be wrong on this (and I will be told so, I am sure, if that's the case lol) but the set that is similar from "The Lodger" is the same one, I believe, and I think is simply a case of reusing a set in order to keep costs down. You know... Star Trek style LOL

My brother and I had been watching Who together since the late 80's, but that ended when I moved to America during the later Tennant series. I was back in the UK for a visit when this aired so we got to sit down together and watch it as it went out live, and our minds were blown. Couldn't wait to see the next episode, but unlike you, we had to wait a fun week! Genuinely had no idea what was coming, or how wild a ride season 6 would turn out to be. You're gonna love it, and you're gonna hate it at the same time.

2025-09-24 15:39:02 +0000 UTCW. Morgan Sheppard is Mark Sheppard’s dad. He played Confederate General Isaac Trimble in both Gettysburg (1993) and Gods and Generals (2003). He has such an extensive body of work, appearing in numerous sci-fi shows such as, Star Trek, Babylon 5, and seaQuest DSV, but I first remember him as Blank Reg on Max Headroom with Matt Frewer. The creepy aliens in this episode were partly inspired by the famous 1893 Edvard Munch painting, The Scream. Series 6 does have an amazing story arc, it will be pretty revealing.

William Morgan Sheppard has been in Star Trek, but I first encountered him in Max Headroom (which I'd love to see you react to, but that's a very niche/deep cut).
