DC: The Sorcerer System Chapter 11

Chapter 11: An Encounter

CP was copper pieces and they seemed to vanish inside my spatial inventory. I could take them out whenever I wanted and that was amazing.

However, now I had to focus on the road ahead.

{{Upperdark: Land of the Drows}}

{{Tread carefully, Drows are hostile towards other species.}}

And how am I supposed to do that?

This place was bad but far prettier than that cavern. But I kept in mind the warning that the system gave me and pulled up my hoodie to cover my face as much as possible.

Did that make me look suspicious? Yes. But the place was dark and my hair was blonde which was totally out of the colour scheme of this place.

Hence I hid it.

I walked down the cavern and went towards a forest. It was deep and dark but I preferred it over any town I might come across. I still didn't know what a drow was and I didn't want to know.

The forest was ghastly, surrounded by snake-like vines and the ground was filled with puddles of water. There were pieces of bones here and there which meant it was surrounded by carnivorous creatures.

I wonder what is going on in the other world?

{{Host can exit the Dungeon whenever wished. Without the host inside, the time flow of both worlds changes to 1:1.}}

That's… interesting. It's like the dungeon was designed just for me.

With each step I took, the forest grew deeper and thicker. There were countless trees that I had never seen before and most of them were covered in moss and vines.

But one thing that was common was the dark theme. Everything was dark, from the trees to the path leading inside of it. The leaves of the trees were brown and grey instead of green and that made them look unique.

The place was colder than I expected but considering there was no sun around to keep the place warm, it made sense.

I wasn't bothered by the cold, the weather and climate never bothered me to begin with.

However, there was something that did bother me.

"Blood…"

More specifically, the smell of blood.

I could smell the stench of blood coming from nearby and as I strode forward, I saw the trails.

Small and thin trails of blood that went right. Squatting down, I checked to see how old the blood was and as suspected it was not too old.

My cambion physiology allowed me to differentiate between the species and this blood didn't belong to an animal. However, it was not human blood either, it was similar to that of a human tho… Maybe a humanoid?

Or…

A Drow.

I silently walked to the right, following the trail of blood and keeping my 'Gust' cantrip ready in case I had to create a diversion.

And I felt that I would require it as I heard groans.

Feminine…

It wasn't rough. It was soft yet pained.

As I walked closer, I saw snow.

White.

It flew in the air as deep breaths echoed through the empty place.

Blood puddled around an anchor grey figure. An arrow stuck to her leg, huffing and barely awake.

A woman.

I could have left but didn't. I walked closer, making sure that no one else was around. It could have been a trap but the system didn't throw any warnings which meant it was safe, hopefully.

"W-Who?" She asked in fear as I walked closer. I was certain she couldn't see me properly as her eyes were barely open.

"I am not here to harm you." I reassured, not wanting to make her any more afraid than she already was.

She was gorgeous with anchor grey skin, white hair and hazy lavender eyes that were barely open. Her clothes were torn, revealing her ample breasts and scratches surrounding her entire body.

[[Name: Eila]]

[[Race: Half Drow]]

[[Class: Rogue]]

[[Alignment: Neutral Good]]

[[Armor Class: 13]]

[[Hit Points: 32]]

[[STR: 14 (+0)]]

[[DEX: 19 (+4)]]

[[CON: 16 (+3)]]

[[INT: 12 (+2)]]

[[WIS: 13 (-1)]]

[[CHA: 19 (+3)]]

[[Status Condition: Wounded, Weakened]]

A half-drow… that was interesting.

Can I help her?

{{The host can buy emergency potions from the system using CPs, SPs and GPs.}}

{{As a new user, hosts gets Elixir of Health ×3 for free.}}

{{Elixir of Health Obtained ×3}}

That was… convenient?

"W-Who are you?" The woman moaned in pain. Despite her unusual skin, she was one of the prettiest creatures I have ever laid my eyes upon.

Far prettier than humans.

"Hush!" Telling her to keep quiet, I quickly used one of the potions on her.

Was it a waste? Not really.

If I could gain her trust, I would get a guide and if not… my stats were still higher than hers.

I could kill her if I want.

{{Do you want to use Elixir of Life on the Half Drow?}}

"Yes."

{{1 Elixir of Life has been consumed.}}

{{Health will be recovered in a while.}}

As I saw the wounds healing, I slowly took my hand towards her leg where the arrow was stuck. She jolted in pain when I touched the arrow. But for her to heal, I had to take it out.

"S-Stop!" She said but I had already grabbed the arrow.

And then I heard a scream.

[[Eila]]

Eila feared that the ones that shot her might have heard her scream. She did her best to lower the voice as much as possible but the brute seemingly pulled the arrow with all his might.

She knew the man just used a potion on her and from the effects, she knew that it was an expensive one.

But she couldn't understand why he would use a valuable item on a random person.

Not to mention a half-drow.

She considered that he might have been after her body but if he wanted, he could have forced himself on her and she wouldn't have been able to stop him. But instead, he was healing her.

She felt her wounds rapidly closing and the sight returning to her. And when it finally returned to her, she realised that the one in front of her wasn't a drow.

"You are a human!" She asked in shock. It was unheard of humans to walk the Underdark, as the ones that did were hunted down by the creatures of the Underdark.

Most drows hated humans and she was one of their targets as well because of being a half-drow.

"Why did you help me?" She asked in curiosity, her soft lavender eyes boring into his bright ones.

The boy smiled, "Because I hoped I could get a guide."

And the boy was just as weird as he appeared.

"Pardon?"

[[Lucien Lemuel Morningstar]]

The half-drow, Eila stared at me in confusion and shock.

"I said that I wanted a guide."

And I did. One of the reasons I knew she wouldn't attack me without a proper cause was her alignment, which was neutral good.

"And… Could you cover-up? While I appreciate your beauty, I am pretty sure you wouldn't want to walk around naked."

She widened her eyes and looked at her breasts. And as expected, her face immediately turned dark from the embarrassment.

"P-Pardon!"

Grabbing the torn clothing, she wrapped it around her breasts.

She was interesting.

"So, are you willing to be my guide?"

"Eh?"

Well, it looks like it will take a bit more convincing.
