Marvel: Chapter 134

Chapter 134: Meeting the Guardians

"Move Move Move!" Peter's shout made the previously angry Rocket widen his eyes. The massive portal that opened before them was impossible to miss.

"It's not possible!" Rocket said. "The radius is too massive, no matter where we turn… We will be within its radius."

"I am Groot?"

"No Groot. We can't stop. Not with Kang's army behind us."

"Shit!" Gamora expressed as she knew it was too late to turn around.

"Drive through it?" Drax's question made everyone look at him stupidly but they all knew that there was no other choice.

Biting his lips, Peter looked at Rocket. "Rocket… go through it." He closed his eyes. "If we die, you can curse me in hell."

"You bet I will." Rocket said but calmed himself. "Let's just hope that we don't die."

"Go through it." Gamora breathed. "No other choice."

"Godspeed!"

[[Markus Hanley]]

“And here they come.” Sitting with a glass of orange juice, we awaited the arrival of the troublesome crew.

Staring at the portal made me wonder if I will be able to create portals to different timelines. I can create ones to different worlds, hell even dimensions. But will I be able to do it for different timelines?

Something to think about.

“And their entry is just as explosive as ever.” Mobius commented as he saw the modified Bentar ship crashing through the portal. “How difficult is it even to safely drive through a portal of… that size?”

Finishing the glass of juice, I walked towards the member of TVA that stood in his well tailored suit.

“I don’t know.” A slight shrug. “Ask them directly, I guess.”

Now, one of my clones was out there discussing about Emma and Wanda with the Professor. I would have been there but the situation at hand was more important.

My businessman mind felt pain seeing the damaged spaceship in front of me. That has to be a loss worth in millions. I wonder if those parts can be purchased for cheap in space?

“Aggh”

Groaning noises came from the spaceship which made Mobius look at me. “Aren’t you going to help them?”

“Oh, I am." Saying that, I used my telekinetic abilities to remove the metallic door. Inside the ship were five beings with distinct features and only one of them appeared human.

“Ggh”

“Good, none of them are dead.” Mobius replied with his same stoic expression.

The five of them were injured but none of them had any life threatening injuries. Superior build, obviously.

The human one of the five groaningly looked towards us. “W-who are you?”

I smiled and instead of replying, moved my hand towards him.

However…

A dagger flew right towards my face and stopped mere millimeters away from my skin.

“Sweetheart, it’s not very respectable to attack someone you just met.” My statement made the injured but still fiery green-skinned beauty frown.

“Who are you? Are you with Kang?” She questioned. “And where is this?”

“You are in one of TVA’s many space stations.” Mobius answered on my behalf. "As for Kang." He sneered. "He wished he could enter this place."

Too proud, eh?

Not paying Mobius much attention, I went to put on my businessman smile.

"Pardon me for not introducing myself. My name is Markus, a mutant from Earth and someone working for the TVA to stop the Conqueror."

Gamora didn't seem to believe my words but Rocket groaned from the corner of the ship.

"TVA…" He breathed. "I thought they were only a child's legend."

Makes sense. TVA has always been secretive, it is a surprise that Rocket has even heard of them. Even many gods and other entities have no clue about their existence.

But then again…

It's Rocket. He knows a lot of things.

"Well, we would have liked to keep things like that. But Kang's arrival has changed a lot of things and the way they used to operate." Mobius said.

"What do you want from us?" Peter questioned.

"Before that… let me heal you." Before the Guardians could say anything, I used my ability to heal their wounds. Bringing them back to full health within seconds.

They had their jaws drop at the speed of recovery but for me it barely took any effort.

"How did you do that?" Quill asked, impressed.

"Just a small ability." I said, making him raise an eyebrow.

"A small ability, huh?"

"Are we certain that he is not with Kang?"

Draxx's question nearly made me burst out laughing.

"I am not, my friend."

Consciousness sharing was great. It was an ability that made sure all the clones were connected in a way and that there would never be a chance of one betraying the actual one.

While I was dealing with the Guardians in one place, talking with the professor in another.

I was also in the underworld using a third body.

"The traitors have been captured and killed. Jester's fall shook the entire underworld but your ploy of having the Elder come to light scared the others." Sable reported.

"Elder will still be a shadow, making moves only when necessary." I said. "The major reason to make the people aware of his existence was to bring you guys to power." I pointed at the people of the High Table.

"Jester was the master back then but now each of you will be known to have individual power, working on separate fields and sectors. Each of you will be equally powerful but will have authority over separate domains."

My statement made the members nod.

"You have the freedom to make decisions on your own but if those decisions affect the other sectors, you will have to host a voting session. Whichever side gets the most votes from the members of the High Table, will be able to move on with their decisions."

Again, another nod.

"However, the Elder is still the Almighty and even the High Table has to listen to him. But he doesn't appear unless the balance of the entire High Table is at risk." I finished with a deep breath. "Is that understood?"

"Yes!" Everyone shouted together.

"How is the Hellfire Club running, Domino?" The question made the lucky superhero giggle.

"Exactly as you want it to. Perfect and without any issue."

"Great." Giving her a praising nod, I looked at Bloodstone. "Mr. Bloodstone, how are the mineral factories running?"

The man showed a feral grin. "We are now responsible for controlling sixty eight percent of the mineral supply in the world and that also mostly legally."

Mostly, keyword.

"That's what I wanted to hear." Putting on a calm smile, I continued. "I have a reward for everyone at the round table. Since, you all helped rebuild the underworld. And I will reveal that reward very soon."

It was a reward that was not given to just anyone after all.
