Hello dear players!
We’re kicking off 2025 with a content update with a couple of new features, some spicy CGs and a few bug fixes.
But before showing the release notes I wanted to announce that the previously mentioned Tech Update has been delayed indefinitely.
If you want to read more about it jump to the "Tech Update Delayed Indefinitely" section.
In compensation for the Tech Update delay, we have created the promo code HAPPY2025 with some goodies you can redeem right now! This code will be available for redeeming all the way until the end of February.
Here are the release notes:
GAMEPLAY
Added a new Max Energy Up status effect that, as the name says, it raises your Max Energy temporarily!
Added Thyme & Rosemary herbs items, these will be useful for cooking certain special dishes.
Respawnable in various locations!
Added Revitalizing Soup meal item, this special dish can temporarily increase your Max HP.
Added Verdant Omelet meal item, this special dish can temporarily increase your Max Energy.
Added recipes for both of the above dishes. (The recipes are not given anywhere, so you will have to find out by trial and error)
You can now quit your job using the Humplr app on your smartphone or by talking to your employer.
A 2-day cooldown applies before you can be rehired for the same job.
ACTIVITY EVENTS
Added CG for a drinking event at the nightclub.
Added CG for a jogging event.
Added CGs for two workout events.
BUG FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS
Fixed an issue when Cooking dishes with Status effects having duplicate status effects.
Status effects that boost Max HP or Max Energy now function as intended for party members as well.
Updated job tutorials to include info on quitting and getting fired.
All active Christmas quests have been removed from the quest log.
To be completely transparent here's what happened:
Right after the last update on December, we started updating all of our engine's dependencies to its latest versions while fixing any code breaking changes, unfortunately we ran onto some compatibility issues with the new versions that were causing the game to not behave properly. This means we will need further testing on the game with the updated tech and find out what is causing such behavior and take action.
In order to not delay content updates any further we decided to put the Tech Update in a separate branch we can continue to look into on a later time while we continue developing new content.
As always, thank you for playing! Your support means the world to us, and we’re excited to keep improving and expanding the game throughout 2025.
