Puck 452 - Hi-res

What's this?  The new Puck hi-res comic ... TWO DAYS EARLY ON PATREON?!?

Okay, so this is a thing I've been thinking, but I might try to make it so that you guys soon get the Puck comics a whole week early.  I just thought that it would be a nice bonus for supporting me.  I'm not quite there yet, but I'm going to try in August to achieve this task.

Let me know what you think, though.  Do you care or not care about early access?  I just see a number of creators doing this on Patreon.  For me, it's a little harder because I have historically worked with ZERO BUFFER, meaning I finish a comic usually one day before posting.  But for you guys, I will achieve the impossible and maybe get TWO comics done in ONE WEEK.  Some time in August.  Wait for it.

People seem to think a day or two early is the most is should be. Which is fine by me.

ElectricGecko

They are a skill. Like riding a unicycle. Everything looks easy when a pro does it.

ElectricGecko

One day early access would be very doable. I mean, I always have the comic done on Sunday night, usually.

ElectricGecko

I'm neutral on the prospect. I think a day or two would be fine.

Heels look SO EASY when it's somebody experienced walking in them.

Jeffrey Nonken

How about doing just one day early access? And maybe stretch that out another day when you feel like it?

Leak

Yeah, that's the situation in a nutshell. I'd love to produce an extra Patreon-only comic at some point in time, but I really don't have the time.

ElectricGecko

Well, most people seem neutral to against it, so I might not.

ElectricGecko

Well, I'm always pretty consistent without a buffer. (I haven't missed an update since 2011.) But if you don't care about it, then that's good to know.

ElectricGecko

It really makes no difference, because after the first one, It's still a week to the next.

Do as you like, fine be me.

One thing I am missing though, are those thoughts you write about your comics over on your website. I always enjoyed scrolling down to read that personal touch of yours because it gives some nice bonus insight to your comic.

As long as I get my dose of Puck, I don't think too much about when it's uploaded, so do whichever works best for you :) ALSO yknow, Daphne would totally rock that leather punk/rock style, seems like she got a mighty power trip that's going to make her at least curious about what could have been.

I would also like to add that the Puck updates are probably the most consistant of any of the comics I follow. You don't get a lot of press for that fact, but as far as I'm concerned, you da man!

Hey Geck! For what it's worth, I don't particularly care for early access. One of my highlights of monday nights is waiting for the new Puck to come out, and it really softens the blow when I already know what the strip is gonna be about. Although, It is possible that I'm a voice of one on this subject...

Donald Lewis King (DLKmusic)

I don't care that much about it, but it's always good to work with a buffer because it makes updates more consistent at least.
