Okay, so here's the thing about contortionist poses from athletes and circus performers and such: even with reference material, they're hard to draw. I think it's because such poses stretch the limit of the body's regular movement range, so even when you draw it right, the viewer's eye rejects it. The eye says, "Nope. Can't happen." Because it usually can't.
I almost never use reference pics to draw people but I did here. The hips do weird things with the splits and I needed some help.
