Nerd Art Finished!

(Whew, I got all the way up to posting this an hour ago and then realized I forgot to draw his glasses - kind of an important bit of character flare for "the nerd"! Now, on with the show!)

The recent poll for which character to update with proper, high quality art came back heavily in favour of The Nerd, so I got to work right away drawing up his concept art. I hammered out a general character vibe that I liked pretty quickly, so I was able to drive right into the full quality art almost immediately!

I figured out a lot of the difficult stuff for adding a new character when I redid the art for The Slacker. Once I had my new drawings finished for The Nerd it was relatively quick to get everything rigged up in Live2D and then exported into Ren'py (ie. into the game engine A Very Full House is built on). Because I took the time to rig the characters up in an identical way they are also able to use all of the same basic animations (idle animations, expressions, that sort of thing), which is going to save a good bit of time and let me focus on adding more fun stuff to the game.

For character design I tried to embody the vibe of saying "You little piece of shit!" while he grins and watches you undress. I think I've succeeded in that. Unlike The Slacker he's not physically imposing, and unlike The Jock he's not charismatic, so all of his content will be focused on tricking or outright blackmailing you.

It's also fun to notice that our MCILF is about double the thickness (read: thiccness) of The Nerd at her hips. I'm not sure if that's because The Nerd is scrawny as all hell, or because our MCILF is rocking such a phat booty. It's almost certainly a combination of the two.

I've got to tidy up some code side things to get The Nerd fully working in game, but that should be a quick job. Now I'm going to spend some time adding some new clothing for the next A Very Full House update. It'll probably be a minified default MCILF outfit plus a starting version of her workout outfit.
