Official Discord Server!
Added 2023-01-17 12:22:55 +0000 UTCAs you might have guessed from my last post, I've been busy setting up an official Discord server for people interested in A Very Full House. After a few hours deciding what channels I wanted, tweaking permissions, and otherwise doing boring admin tasks it's ready!
If you're a patron and have your Discord linked to your Patreon account (here's how to do that) you should automatically be given a role based on your level of support. There's nothing special or unique unlocked by those roles other than a special chat that only patrons can talk in (but that anyone can read).
So why have a Discord server? For me, it's a convenient place for players to leave suggestions, bug reports, and feedback. It's also a place I can pop in and out of more casually than a forum thread or Patreon post. For you, it's a place to put those recommendations, connect with other players, and share things like mods. I'll still be doing all of my official posts here on Patreon, the Discord will be where I shove my memes.
I think I have all of the roles and channels set up the way I want them (at least for now; I'm sure I'll tweak things as we go), but there's one more thing I need: A server role name for myself! I could just decide to be self aggrandizing, but it's more fun and legitimate if I have you vote for it. So that's what I want to know today: What should I name my own Discord server role?
