Thousand Year Old Succubus - Playing a Solo RPG!

I stumbled upon an interesting solo RPG "Thousand Year Old Vampire" and it tickled my brain, so I'm going to give it a try! Since I have an audience I figured I'd write up the experience and share it as I go along. I'll be keeping track of my character sheet, noting changes as I go along, and writing short evocative descriptions of the events of the game.

I have no clue how this going to play out, how long it will take, or if I'll even end up making a second post for this, but I hope you enjoy it anyways!

Character Creation

First I need to imagine the true origins of my character, the mortal they were in the distant past. I want to be someone important - but not too important - and political - but not too political. I consider a few ideas (a Roman oracle or her handmaiden, most notably), but I settle on being the eldest daughter to a prominent member of the HRE, sometime during the 13th Century.

Memory 1 (My Family)
1. I am
Mira of the noble house Helvia, eldest daughter to an influential duke. Through my marriage my family will secure political strength and financial security.

Events in TYOV are divided up into "experiences". Each experience slots into a "memory". Each memory can contain up to 3 experiences that are somehow thematically connected - by a person, a character trait, how it makes you feel - and you can only have 5 memories total. If my immortal has an experience that doesn't align with an existing memory I create a new one, and if that brings me over 5 memories I forget the oldest one I have, along with all of it's related experiences! Time grinds on and history fades...

But for the moment Mira is mortal, her mind is fresh, and the future lays before her. The rules tell me to invent three other mortals that I have existing relationships with. I cheat a little and roll her parents into one - I want them to be involved together when they are involved at all.

Mortals
1. The Duke and Duchess of Helvia; my parents, cold and impassive.
2. Alexius; My stable boy and, when the mood takes me, my lover.
3. Aliana; My handmaiden, confidant, and maybe even a friend?

Mira has skills that she can draw upon to try and solve problems. I'm asked to imagine three.

Skills
1. Natural beauty; Enough to strike a man mute, if properly applied.
2. Musical talent; From the harpsicord to the violin, father had me learn.
3. Horseback riding; All those miles ridden and still I arrive back home.

She also has three resources. These are things, big or small, that are important to the story of my immortal. Importantly, these things can be lost or destroyed.

Resources
1. A noble bloodline; My blood stretches back centuries. Who will notice a few extra decades?
2. My bodyguards; Hired muscle loyal only to Father's coin.
3. A wardrobe of breathtaking dresses; I shall never need to wear the same one twice!

We're getting close to the moment of truth, when Mira will be forever changed and become immortal. Before that we need to add three experiences, possibly creating new memories to hold them. Each experience is suppose to include at least two of the mortals, skills, or resources I've already defined.

Memory 1 (My Family)
2. Mother and Father were gone for a month on a diplomatic tour. When they returned it still took them two weeks to realize they had forgotten my birthday. Father bought me a horse, the best money could buy. Mother filled every closet in the palace with dresses of silk and gold.
Memory 2 (Freedom)
1. I was scared when I first went riding. The horse was so big, so strong! Alexius was patient with me, and he taught me how I could control it. Afterwards, behind the stables, he taught me a great many other things.

Memory 3 (Vanity)
1. The centennial ball brought local nobility for miles around. I sang, and I danced, and for a crystal clear night all the world had its eyes only on me.

Next, I must an immortal individual. This is the person (or thing) that has is responsible for me becoming immortal. I also create an experience, and a "Mark" - a trait that brands me and that I will carry with me for the rest of my unlife.

Immortals
1.
Count Faron Clotaire; French nobility and an immortal vampyre. His charm swept me off my feet, and into bed.
Memory 4 (Lust)
1. I had eyes for
Faron the moment he entered the palace. Dancing was boring, unless it was with him. Conversations were dull, unless he was talking. Music was monotonous, unless he was singing. When he took me to bed I gave him everything he wanted. He kept taking more, and more, and more. The more I gave the harder he took. I didn't care. I gave him every last drop of me. In the morning he was gone.
Mark
Food and drink are sawdust in my mouth. They don't sustain me. I feast on human emotion now. Fear and hate will do - there is plenty of that to go around - but lust, desire, wanting, taking, those are fine wines and delicate pastries.

The Story Begins

The scene is set for play to start. Gameplay in TYOV is simple: roll 1d10, subtract 1d6, and move forwards or backwards that many prompts in the book. For each prompt I come up with an answer, add an experience to my memories (maybe pushing old memories out!), and do anything else the prompt instructs. If I run out of Skills or Resources to expend, or if a prompt tells me directly, the game ends.

I roll a 2 and a 5. There are no negative numbers, so I start with prompt 1.

"In your blood-hunger you destroy someone close to you. Kill a mortal character. Take the skill Bloodthirty"
Memory 4 (Lust)
2. Alexius never learned about
Faron, but I felt bad about it all the same. I brought Aliana with me the next night to make it up to him. Two women devoted to his every want, his every need; Every man's dream. When I felt the thread I pulled and pulled and pulled, and poor Alexius was unraveled. His "little death" stopped his heart; he died smiling. My bodyguard disposed of the body, and Aliana never mentioned it again.
Skills
+Bloodthirsty; Other people feel so fragile now. I can unmake them if I have to. I've done it before by accident. I'm scared what will happen if I try to do it on purpose.

I strike through Alexius's entry. He was mortal, so he was never going to last long in this story, but I feel a little bad killing him off so early. Oh well, he won't be the last!

I'll take a break here, for today, and pick this up in the near future! Let me know if you've enjoyed this little play-along so I know to keep updating you on it - I may even start running some of the prompts as polls to help you all guide our fledgling succubus Mira (no relation) as she navigates the world of undeath!
