Weekly Update 5/26/19

We begin our final year of the 60's with a decent roster of comics; not all home runs, but all pretty interesting nonetheless (except Hulk (C'mon big guy, I want to love you). Between the very political Spider-Man issues, the wild (but half-baked) sci-fi concepts of Guardians, and the endlessly creative Steranko art in Captain America, there is a lot to chew on.

If nothing else, the Spider-Man Crisis on Campus issues illustrate that tackling real world concerns in a superhero setting can give us a lot to chew on, whether or not they completely stick the landing (just wait until the female Avengers start explicitly fighting for feminism in 1970). Not that every issue needs to wade into real world politics, but the complexity and resonance it brings always makes talking about them more interesting.

For this year's Variant Cover, we're planning to have a big special decade ending episode,  so if you plan on sending in feedback, please make it about the decade at large. Specifically, we're looking for short letters telling us about your favorite stories of the decade!
