Seizing authority amidst post-war chaos, "Grass-Blade" Reykhard and his gang offered protection to the common folk, yet their pursuit of personal gain amid this anarchy cast shadows on his legacy. His eventual execution marked the shift back to a centralized rule, rendering him a symbol of the war's aftermath, becoming an unlikely folk hero despite his checkered and often ruthless history. What remained where his camps, strewn about in the hinterlands, one by one transforming from bandit camps into villages or trading posts.
