Vertical English
Added 2017-07-15 15:45:06 +0000 UTCWhile I decided that in +700, I would use contemporary English instead of conlanging a sci-fi variant of Terran English, the idea of a vertical script for the language still allures me.
In-universe there could be a "Vertical English Movement", where many are in favour of adopting a vertical English typeset; some even want it to become the norm. Critics say that English is not a vertically efficient language from the ground-up, or that Terran English should remain Terran as a sort of protection of heritage.
