Beneos 2.0 IS HERE! READ ABOUT ALL THE IMPORTANT CHANGES TO YOUR PATRONAGE!

it's finally happening! We've been tinkering and testing for months, but now we are finally able to announce that Beneos 2.0 is live!
Starting now, all TIER 4 PATRONS can automatically access Moulinette Cloud. For Tier 1 to Tier 3 changes nothing.
Dear Tier 4 Patrons: Please read this, there is important information coming your way!
Until 30.06.2022 all Tier 4 Patrons can access Moulinette Cloud for free. As previously promised, I'll shoulder the traffic and storage costs for all Tier 4 Patrons this month. This means that every Tier 4 Patron has three weeks to test and get to know and love the new Moulinette integration, like many before you did! Check out the attached video to get a feeling =)
At the same time, the old Tier 4 will be deactivated. New patrons will only be able to choose the new 'Foundry Tier'. To cover the costs for server and storage, this Foundry Tier will cost €1 more.
Per our previous announcements, the old Tier 4 will be closed after July 2022.
There will be a transitional period, where Tier 4 and the Foundry Tier will coexist.
The change between Tier 4 and the Foundry Tier is completely voluntarily and won't be happening automatically. It's your choice to do the switch, but I am 100% convinced that the new solution via Moulinette is faster, simpler, less prone to errors and more reliable in general, thus easily justifying the increase in price. This has also been the opinion of all(!) testers! This does not generate any profits for me, it's just to cover the costs of the traffic and storage, a change that I wholeheartedly believe in.
As a thank-you gift for your trust, all of you who subscribe as Foundry Tier supporters until the 14.07.2022, so including all of you who make the switch from Tier 4, will get our very first Beneos Battlemaps Adventure for free as a download link sent directly to you! This Adventure won't be released on Patreon!
It'll be an interactive dungeon crawl, and it will be available in our online shop for 10-15€ otherwise.
Full Disclosure: If you make the switch to the Foundry Tier before the 01.07, you'll pay €1 more for this month already in comparison to staying in Tier 4. I can't prevent this for technical reasons. So, if you don't want to spend this extra money, just switch after we hit July. However, if you make the switch now, I will greatly appreciate your support as this helps me alleviate the server costs. But, as I said, it's possible for you to circumvent this!

- HOW DOES THE SWITCH TO MOULINETTE BENEFIT ME?
All Data will be hosted in the cloud, which brings a multitude of benefits. You won't need to download anything manually anymore. Potential errors happening during the installation and update process are getting reduced by 95%. It is so much simpler to find content and load it directly into your world - on the fly, during your sessions, including all features (Teleporters, Handouts, everything!). With just. One. Click! Promise!
- HOW CAN I TEST THE MOULINETTE INTEGRATION?
Starting right now, all Tier 4 and Foundry Tier Patrons have full use of Moulinette until 01.07. and can check out all Beneos content without any further costs. Starting on the 01.07., only the new Foundry Tier has access to Moulinette and the old Tier 4 will no longer be supported. You have to actively make the switch, if you want to continue to support me! - WHO IS PAYING FOR SERVER STORAGE AND TRAFFIC?
For the month of June, I'll shoulder the costs for all Tier 4 Patrons, so everyone has some time to get accustomed to the advantages of the new system. Starting 01.07., Tier 4 Patrons have to make the switch to the Foundry Tier, which costs €1 more than the Tier 4 pledge, to alleviate the costs for storage and traffic. But as this Foundry Tier comes with a full subscription to Moulinette, you'll save 50% of the costs if you were both a Moulinette and Beneos patron before - but you'll now get the same benefits AND the new improved Battlemap workflow. Win-win.
- WHAT HAPPENS TO TIER 4, AND WHAT IS "FOUNDRY TIER" ?
Starting now, Tier 4 is locked and only the new Foundry Tier will be visible for new supporters. Tier 4 won't be supported in the future and will lose its access to Moulinette starting 01.07. Past the first of July, only the Foundry Tier will be able to use the Moulinette features, and Tier 4 will no longer be supported.
- DO I HAVE TO SWITCH MANUALLY FROM THE OLD "TIER 4" TO THE NEW "FOUNDRY TIER" TO CONTINUE TO RECEIVE CONTENT?
Yes! I can't raise the costs of existing Tiers - and that's a good thing! That means I have to create a new Tier to cover traffic and server costs. You have to actively upgrade to the new Tier to receive content updates. The video explains, how and why this is amazing and how it will save you insane amounts of time and nerves!
- WHAT IS THE TIME FRAME IN WHICH I HAVE TO MAKE THE SWITCH TO "FOUNDRY TIER" TO RECEIVE THE ADVENTURE FOR FREE?
The new Foundry Tier is available RIGHT NOW. The deadline for the switch is the 14.07.2022 23:59 German time - then I'll export and save all active Foundry Tier patrons. The first adventure will presumably be finished in August, and all saved Patrons will receive a link for the free download. Everyone else will need to buy the Pack in our online shop. I'm not entirely sure regarding the final price, it will probably range between €10 and €15.
- WILL I LOSE ACCESS OR CONTENT AS AN OLD "TIER 4" PATRON?
Not immediately, but in the future - yes! To not miss out on any content, you'll have to make the switch to the Foundry Tier. Everything you prepared in your world will be left untouched. The current module, the battlemaps, handouts and sceneries will coexist for a transitional period with the access via Moulinette. But in the future, only Tier 1,2,3 and "Foundry Tier" will receive new content!
- DO I HAVE TO SUPPORT MOULINETTE AS WELL TO ACCESS THE BENEOS BATTLEMAP CONTENT?
No! With the new Foundry Tier you have access to Moulinette automatically! You are treated LIKE a Moulinette Supporter, but in fact no additional Patronage to Moulinette is needed. You also benefit from all other privileges "regular" Moulinette Patrons have.
- DO YOU PROFIT FROM THE NEW FOUNDRY TIER COMPARED TO THE OLD TIER 4?
Not monetarily, only in lost time and nerves. Seriously - the increased price for the Foundry Tier only covers the additional costs for traffic and servers. Depending on fluctuations in prices, there might be a surplus of a few cents or I might lose some money. But I hope it works out evenly in the end :)
- WHAT HAPPENS IF I MAKE THE SWITCH TO FOUNDRY RIGHT NOW?
If you do so now or at any point until 14.07.2022, you'll receive the first Beneos Battlemaps Adventure for free via download link! Keep in mind that the Foundry Tier costs €1 more than the current Tier 4. This means that you'd have to shoulder these costs in regard to the two June releases this month. If you make the switch after 01.07. but before 14.07., you won't pay more for the June releases and receive the free adventure :)
- I AM ALREADY A $2 SUPPORTER FOR MOULINETTE. DO I NEED TO KEEP UP THAT PLEDGE AS A "FOUNDRY TIER" SUPPORTER FOR BENEOS BATTLEMAPS?
No! If you are a Foundry Tier supporter, you receive the same benefits as you would. You can either increase your pledge to Moulinette to gain additional features, or end your subscription.
- I ALREADY SUPPORT MOULINETTE FOR $5+ A MONTH. WHAT HAPPENS TO ME?
As thanks, you'll receive 2GB additional storage on Moulinette, as long as you are a Beneos Foundry Tier patron.

Hey Malroth, no everything should work. I did not get a single report yet (since the release day hick up) that Patreons can not get access to the content on Moulinette. Did you try unlink and link again with Patreon? Maybe you still have an old session or something like that? If you are still having issues, post it please on our discord troubleshooting channel! 2022-06-23 13:16:34 +0000 UTCHello Ben! Some weeks ago I tried the new Moulinette integration and it worked well. I could import all of Berez maps easily. The last week I wanted to add new scenes to my campaign, but now Moulinette doesn't allow me to do it. The module says that I'm not supporting the Moulinette module. I've switched to the new Foundry Tier, and it remains the same: imgur.com/a/cpySL4i Its been a week since I've swichted to Foundry Tier and I still cannot use Moulinette. Is something wrong?
