Their Respective Love Circumstance

After the incident at lakeside town Ur ended, Hajime and co headed toward the neutral commerce city Fuhren.

On their way there, when the night came they camped under the  beautiful night sky where the stars were shining. Tio volunteered to be  the lookout and came out alone. She was looking up to the night sky  quietly in front of the camp fire.

It was unknown what was inside her mind. The camp fire faintly  illuminated her face from the side. She looked as though she was sad  about something. But she also looked like she was holding on some kind  of hope, or perhaps she was harboring some kind of intense emotion  inside.

For no particular reason, she gave off an “inviolable” atmosphere.  Her atmosphere even felt somewhat divine when see from the outside……

「Fumu」

It was with such atmosphere that Tio suddenly took out something from  her pocket. She brought it closer to her face with an elegant movement  like a lady who was going to smoke on a pipe. Her nose inhaled *suu~~*  deeply,

「……What are you doing you damn pervert!」

「Hebua!?」

Yue-sama was standing behind her without her noticing it. An artistic  heel drop landed on Tio’s head and she fell flat on the ground. 「Uwaa,  Tio-san. That’s creepy even for you desuu」

Shia was also there. She was looking unusually creeped out just as  she said. Her gaze was fixed on the source of the smell that Tio didn’t  let go even after getting crushed on the ground――Hajime’s underwear.

This disappointing dragon, it seemed she was sniffing the underwear  she stole while exuding such divine atmosphere. Or rather, there was no  more that could be said to defend her just from the single fact that she  had been keeping the stolen underwear inside her chest pocket the whole  time.

「W-what’s with this act of violence! I hath not done anything wrong at all!」

Shudders ran through Yue and Shia. Although Yue couldn’t possibly  turn a blind eye at how Tio was quietly putting back her lover’s  underwear into her pocket. The most painful slap that Yue ever performed  in her whole life smacked Tio’s cheek while taking back Hajime’s  underwear from Tio’s hand.

「Aa, Goshujin-sama’s underwear……the source of mine healing……」

「……I won’t accept it. How can a pervert like this is from the legendary dragon race……」

「Tio-san. Hajime-san will seriously chase you away if you don’t start getting your act together you know?」

「There wouldst not be any problem even if that happens. Just as I  sayeth before, I wouldst walk around the city and cry while yelling how  Goshujin-sama abandoned me even after stealing mine first time.」

「There’s only problem from that. No, well, my family also said  something similar to try to come with Hajime-san, so I guess I don’t  have any right to say that.」

「Fuh, don’t worry. I shall not leave Goshujin-sama’s side no matter what. Doing that wouldst only be mine last choice.」

「……I’m feeling nothing but worry. Rather I’m feeling nothing but fear here.」

Tio stood up with a slippery movement that looked disgusting. Then  she sat back in front of the fire. She then looked at the other two with  a gaze that was clearly asking them 「How about the two of you also sit  down?」

The way she could switch manner so nonchalantly like that felt  irritating instead. Although the two of them were intentionally awake  and outside right now while Hajime and Will were sleeping inside the car  was because they wanted to have “women only conversation”. So they sat  around the fire even while still looking conflicted.

「And, art there something that the two of thee wish to asketh me?」

Tio asked the two with a composed atmosphere. The current her truly  looked like a member of the legendary dragon race. If only her glance  that was saying 「I’ll answer all of thy question, so couldst thee return  Goshujin-sama’s underwear to me?」 wasn’t locked on Hajime’s underwear  that Yue was currently folding neatly.

They actually wanted to touch on some slightly heavy topic like the  past of the dragon race or something, but it felt like their motivation  was being whittled down. Yue tried fixing her unblinking stare at Tio  for a while. Usually anybody wouldn’t be able to keep themselves from  fidgeting when Yue was looking at them like that, but, the disappointing  dragon’s eyes wouldn’t leave from Goshujin-sama’s underwear.

Yue sighed. She changed the conversation topic to suit the atmosphere a little.

「……Tio, you have a partner?」

「Hm? Does thou mean a spouse or a lover? What, so thou wish to hath a talk about romance with me!」

「……Nn. Surely that person will cry if they look at you right now.」

「Rather I think her whole clan will fall into despair and wail their heart out desuu」

「What a horrible assumption!」

Nobody wouldst be disappointed with me! ……They wouldst not right? I didst not believe they wouldst but……,  like that Tio gradually lost confidence. Her eyes wandered around  nervously, but then she pulled herself together and lifted her head  high.

「No need for worry. I didst not have anything like partner whether in  the present or the past! There art only one person for me! Don’t think  that I’m a woman who wouldst wag mine tail to anyone!」

Yue and Shia went 「Ee……」 with a surprised look when they heard that.  Then they looked at each other before at last they looked at Tio with a  very pitying gaze, as though they were looking at something unfortunate.

「……Tio, I believe you said that you have lived for more than five hundred years……」

「Being single, for five hundred years……umm, Tio-san, please don’t give up on life!」

「……What’s this feeling? Those words managed to stab the deepest into mine chest until now……」

Certainly she declared that “her anal’s first time was taken away (by  pile bunker)”. But the two of them only thought that was because Tio’s  partner until now had been someone normal. Also at her age it wouldn’t  even be strange that she was with children already, so in that respect  they also felt that it was very disappointing that someone who had  children already could be acting like this……

It was with such consideration in mind Yue asked about Tio’s partner  ambiguously, but what came back was a confession of her being extremely  unpopular woman for five hundred years. Poor Tio, she’s gruesomely unpopular……, Yue and Shia snuggled close to Tio and patted her shoulders consolingly.

「Stop that! Let me tell both of thee! I’m actually very popular! Even  the number of mine fiancée candidates couldst not be counted with the  fingers on both hands!」

「……Nn. I understand. I understand already. No need to say anymore.」

「It’s fine desu. Nobody here want to hurt Tio-san.」

「I’m being hurt right now!」

Tio tore away the two who kept patting her shoulders pityingly and  pushed them away. Then she explained how she wished for a spouse who was  stronger than her. The men in her village were still unable to best  her, as the result she was still single until now, that was all. But  even after giving that explanation, the kindness in Yue and Tia’s eyes  kept deepening as seconds passed by.

「Eei! Even thou Yue art still unmarried and childless after living for more than three hundred years!」

「That’s because I was sealed when I was 23 years old. The time while I  was sealed isn’t counted. Rather, I stopped growing in the middle of my  teenage, so actually I’m still 17 years old after all the time in  between is added. My logic is perfect.」

「Yue-san, you really want to be treated as being the same age like Hajime-san aren’t you?」

「……Shia, shut up.」

Shia shut up. However Tio wouldn’t be silenced.

「Well, fine. I shall consider thee as being around twenty then. Fufu,  seeing how thee was pitying me, surely that meant that thou were  actually popular correct? Thou acted as though Goshujin-sama is the only  one for thee, but in reality thou actually had many past lovers……」

「……I had a lot of marriage proposal. Apparently. A lot of people also came to ask for my hand. Apparently.」

「Apparently? Why art thou speaking as though thou only heard it from hearsay despite being the concerned person?」

「……Don’t mention marriage talk, I hadn’t even met that many opposite  sex because of uncle’s strict screening. Uncle dealt with all matters  pertaining that topic……」

That was why, she had never even met someone of opposite sex that  might be able to form romantic relationship with her. The farthest she  ever got in matter of romance was hearing love story from her personal  female instructor who she was really close with. And then,

「……That uncle betrayed and sealed me in the end.」

「「……」」

With Yue’s beauty, there was no way she wasn’t popular. Even though  she had childish look, the sex appeal that was exuding out from her  whole being and her skilful ruling as princess and then queen later on  would be more than enough to make her looked mature. It was beyond doubt  that there must be many marriage proposals coming to her. However.  Because of her uncle’s presence she was completely cut off from any such  thing from the start.

「……It’s not like I’m bothered by it. It’s my destiny since I was born  to meet Hajime. Yes, things like the country or the traitors really  don’t matter at the slightest. All of those were necessary to allow me  to meet Hajime. Yes, in that sense I should even thank my uncle. Because  of him I was able to offer even my first love and my first time all for  Hajime. If I actually had something like fiancée, I would have to go  back to the past and tear that person limb to limb――」

「So heavy-. Yue! I understand now that thou were popular and on top  that thou art solely devoted to Goshujin-sama alone, so please return  thy pitch black eyes back to normal! I couldst not stop shaking!」

Tio was trembling in fear toward Yue who was relatively easy in  slipping into her dark side when talking about her past. So she turned  the topic toward Shia.

「S-Shia. How about thee? Thy beauty art not inferior to Yue in any way. Thou too were definitely popular correct?」

「? I was sheltered the whole time in the village living only among relatives since I was born, what about it?」

「……」

「When I left the village just for a bit, the male of other clans  called me “white monster who lurked in the sea of trees” and feared me,  and in the end I was treated as one of the seven wonders of the sea of  trees, what about it? And at present, my first love is nonchalantly  rejecting me at every turn, what about it?」

Tio was trembling in fear toward Shia who was relatively easy in  slipping into her dark side when talking about her past. So she  attempted to change the conversation topic.

Like that, the midnight talk between the three women who should be  crazily popular among men and yet being connected to only one man in the  end continued until late.

They didn’t realize that inside the car, that only one man was making  a complicated expression from listening to the talk that he couldn’t  drown out from his hearing even if he wanted to.
