Halo (on a walk)
Added 2020-10-19 17:00:03 +0000 UTCHarness training was a big deal to Kim for her macaw Halo. Harness training is easiest when birds are young so its just a way of life. Its a great method for being able to take your bird on outside walks with you and get it used to the noises and breezes and all the things.

2020-10-20 06:43:17 +0000 UTCI want to harness train my baby parrotlet but I donโt think itโll be as easy other ppl say babies are to train. Kya is very bite-y and I did have to restrain to give her medicine for 3weeks so not a fan of hands over her head. (Sheโs calm once restrained lightly in my hand but the process she is not). While I already have them, Iโve also heard the aviator harnesses for her size are still a bit too heavy for them so ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ. I think parrotlets are feisty in general so treating her more like an adult bird...
