Love your commentary, as usual. Thanks for sharing. I liked your point about how a Sauron had it become more conniving and subtle to get his plans done. Blatant tyranny didn't work out so well straight out of the gate. To get to elves and Numenorians it's so much easier to play the low man and let their own hubris trip them up.
