2024-03-26 23:36:44 +0000 UTCActually, in the original G1 cartoon, the Autobots built the Dinobots on Earth after being inspired by a cave full of fossils. The original team consisted of Grimlock, Swoop (Pterranadon), Slag (Triceratops), Snarl (Stegosaurus) and Sludge (Brontosaurus). However, in the 21 Century, the word Slag is a curse word in some countries, equivalent to the word F**k I believe. So in Animated, the Triceratops was given the name Snarl instead. And in all future incarnations, the Triceratops is called Slug.
