The kind of music and dancing called boogie, was named that because it refers to sex. If you say "Let's boogie! or Let's get down! You have to be more specific. LOL

2023-06-25 14:00:34 +0000 UTCI liked that movie, I have never seen it before, and as much as I like the name Eddie I think I might change my name to Dirk Diggler, by the way, did you know the character was modeled after the American porn actor John Holmes? I loved your reaction at the end when he pulled out the money maker. And not to take anything away from Marky Mark, but that's not all him. This movie reminded me of a film I saw years ago that was based on the true story of the Porn Star John Holmes, it was called "Wonderland (2003)" with Val Kilmer and Lisa Kudrow, not a bad movie. "Heat (1995)" is also a great movie if you haven't seen it.

It’s a paradox — you have to do A to get to B, but you can’t do A unless you do B first. For example: The electricity goes out and you need to find the problem and fix it. You need light to do that, but you have to fix the electricity first in order to have light. Another example: You keep applying for a job. They won’t hire you because you don’t have experience, but you’ll never get experience unless someone hires you. It comes from a novel called Catch-22 about fighter pilots in World War 2. The commander of the unit is ambitious so he pushes his pilots to the brink. The pilots have to fly a certain number of missions in order to go home. But every time the pilots get close to reaching it, the commander increases the required number. So the pilots end up dying before ever reaching the magic number. One pilot who has survived many missions and had the required number raised on him again and again tries to get sent home for being insane. The military requires the airmen to file an official request to get released for insanity. However, if you file a request, then you clearly know getting out of combat duty will keep you alive — you’re thinking clearly. Therefore, the military determined that anyone who files an official request must not be insane. They called it the Catch-22. It was a very popular book even though it was banned in many places because of it’s anti-war/anti-military theme. The term Catch-22 has become part of the English language. These days, I don’t think people even know the phrase came from a novel.

Each foot step head turn and body movement and what to do after a line is spoken, as well as camera crew movement for the scene in film/tv is scripted, or "blocked" Its the instructions the actors and camera crew follow given by the director for a scene.

2023-06-25 01:09:59 +0000 UTC"Blocking" is a film term where you have a couple of actors in a scene talking or doing something boring but the scene is still necessary to the plot, so you have them folding laundry, reading a newspaper, whatever, Making things interesting for the audience. "Blocking my own sex scenes"... I can't quite explain that one, but use your imagination!
