Props for trying to help Dasha with her English. I try not to be negative in comments, but it would be better to check a dictionary before trying to explain what words mean. Vilification is not speaking to someone in a mean way. It’s speaking ABOUT someone in a mean, and generally untrue, way. And the phrase you were thinking of is “paragon of virtue,” a paragon being the perfect model. The word juxtaposition can be about comparison, but when it is used in art criticism, they’re usually talking about how two things were combined to create an interesting effect like juxtaposing one picture on top of another.

Vilification is speaking to someone in a mean way. Purgation is getting rid of something. A Harbinger is something or someone that predicts the future in a real or symbolic way. Paradigm (pronounced pair-a-dime) is a typical example of something, like 'a paradigm of virtue'. Juxtaposition is comparing two or more things together to see differences and similarities. It's often used in art criticism.

2023-12-15 02:04:48 +0000 UTCIt great to see you hjave finally gotten around to Kevin Smith. This was his first movie he wrote and filmed after dropping out of film school. The reason it is in Black&White is becauseback in the day, shooting on film was expensive and B&W was the cheaper option. Kevin plays the role of Silent Bob, which is really quite hilarious as KS could literally talk forever lol. And the reason you don't recognize the actors is because most of the parts were played by his actual friends. The QuickStop shop is were he actually worked and he would shoot at night while the store was closed. I hope you continue to venture into the Viewaskewniverse, the next film is Mallrats. The following films are alot more polished and professional so I hope the student-film vibe of Clerks wont scare you off the franchise, it really is alot of fun!
