Comments

Listen, I love the Disney movies, and I never doubt they’d be ahead, but I certainly didn’t think a beautifully animated film like Prince of Egypt would bring up the rear

The Bad Charm

Surprised more people aren't voting for The Prince of Egypt

Jesse Weston

Aren't there like two of those, i'm not really sure but the original was fun to watch?

Hehe guys, i think these are all great options; and yet i think it is funny that some get hardly any votes at all. :)

I second Beavis and Butthead Do America

Tony Rossell

I didn't like any of these so I'll write in a couple. How about: Beavis and Butthead do America (1996) Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009)

M Young

You don’t see people react to space jam! I would LOVE that reaction!

Anthony Jackson

I love Beauty & the Beast, but Brave is the smartest, coolest, most clever, movie on this list (y) have a good day ery1

Spice Jam sounds delicious

Dasha, just a few suggestions, the Despicable Me movies are awesome, love those minions. Also, if you ever want to see some great animated movies, you gotta go retro and check out The Last Unicorn, Watership Down, Heavy Metal and Titan AE. Hopefully you can add those to the list for the future.

Richard Higgs

Megamind is one of the most underrated animated films of recent memory, I hope it wins!

DaftBasterd

Dasha, on the topic of animation, im gonna open my box of amazing animated movies and recommend to you 2014 movie "Big Hero 6" which is actually based from a Marvel Comic!

Man--- you snooze, you lose, on the "Spice Jam" jokes...

Chris Carman

Hey Dasha, some interesting history for Prince of Egypt: it was made by the same studio as Shrek, and in fact both films were in development at the same time (though Shrek wouldn't release until 3 years later). Prince of Egypt was considered their prestige project, and Dreamworks was SO CERTAIN that it would be a runaway success and Shrek would fail that they actually used reassigning workers to Shrek as punishment for failing to meet expectations (the animators called it "Getting Shreked"). Prince of Egypt did well at the box office and with critics, becoming (to that point) the highest-grossing animated feature not produced by Disney. However, it's largely been forgotten today because Shrek surprised everyone by becoming a massive hit, more than doubling Prince of Egypt's box office.
