Raspberry Heaven
Added 2015-09-15 00:50:05 +0000 UTCRaspberry Heaven is finally here! This is a game that I’ve been trying to make off and on since 2007, which means in all it took me 8 years to finally get it right. I wrote at length about the game’s long history on my blog, but suffice to say it feels pretty great to finally be releasing it. My friend C. Ellis was able to find time do to the artwork despite her insanely busy schedule, and is no doubt getting all embarrassed reading this. We collaborated on a webcomic a while back, so she’s pretty much the ideal person to fully realize my 4-koma manga inspired characters.

My preferred form factor for the game is as a set of 6”x6” cards, but I also made a PDF version in an 8.5”x11” format for easy printing and online play, which is what patrons will be getting momentarily. I’m also going to be sending out a coupon code to let patrons get the card version at a reduced price. If you’re into that kind of thing you might also use that as an excuse to check out some of the other card-based games on DriveThruRPG and DriveThruCards, like Juggernaut and the works of Daniel Solis.
Another kinda cool bit of news: I’m now also selling my stuff through Indie Press Revolution. I sent them 20 copies each of Schoolgirl RPG and Magical Fury, and they took them to Gen Con and sold out on the second day. I’ve since sent them a new (larger) shipment of books, and I’m still just taking in how with this self-publishing thing I kind of stumbled my way into doing some pretty cool stuff on almost no budget.
So what’s next? Barring inspiration striking out of nowhere (as it often does), my aim is to embark on my “Dangerously Kawaii” mini-RPG trilogy, consisting of Assassin’s Kittens, Melancholy Kaiju, and Tsundere Sharks RPG.
