I usually hate such definitive statements like this but : I genuinely think Betty White had the best natural comedic timing I've ever seen. Not just in scripted shoes, in interviews it was the same

So, this was a nod and celebration of that in the face of the inevitable internet racist backlash. It was that fan campaign that inspired the creation of Miles Morales. So, he wasn't going to play Miles Morales, he was the inspiration for him. He's voiced Miles in a few projects and played Miles' uncle in Homecoming.

In 2010 a popular twitter account called "Shit my Dad Says" was turned into a sitcom starring William Shatner. It was cancelled after one season. Don't react to it.
