Haha, I don't blame you as an animeonly Jev, but if you read the light novels you would know that no one is forcing any harem implications. The anime cuts out a lot of scenes where Subaru makes his love for Rem obvious.

Also, "going in circles" is really selling that conversation short. Every word of it was important, and the fact that it came right down to the last moment meant that Subaru was absolutely putting everything on the line to prove that she was worth it to him. So yeah, complain all you want, but I think it just makes you look silly.
