Major Update 5 Patch Notes


This post outlines the release date of Cherry VX's next major update and detailed notes on what's in the patch. 

Some highly requested features have been included as well as polishing/updating of shaders, animation, lighting, sound FX and jiggle physics. Some new content has been produced to be compatible with new material shaders etc. but this update is not focussed on content. A bunch of bugs have been squashed too.

Just a quick heads up for Quest users; you will be required to validate again when starting up the updated version the first time. This will be required for all updates moving into the future. As always, if you have issues get in touch and we'll help you out as soon as we can.

Cherry VX - MAJOR UPDATE 5


New Features

- player can now spank models (PC only)

- player can clean models using the 'wipe model' button


Content

- new player discharge textures

- new makeup options


Gameplay

- D-tracking has been updated for a more streamlined experience 

- models tilt their head medially depending on player position or action

- models now stares at player's D when close to interaction position

- models now move their body on 2 axes when reacting to penetration


UI

- added vibration feedback to UI (vibration toggle added to settings)

- added guides to show where D entry positions are

- updated tutorial to include oral interaction

- North big-screen vignette overlay is less visible at active pose UI screen

- back to pose button removed at active pose UI screen

- back button now goes back to pose selection at active pose UI screen

- grip buttons on touch controllers no longer select UI elements


Graphics

- new static reflection image is now used to better highlight surfaces

- updated decal shader to look more realistic (now uses premul alpha)

- added new microshadow textures to makeup materials

- added height map to skin shader

- added ambient occlusion to makeup shader

- player and model tongues now use skin shader

- created new shader specifically for eye ball reflections/microshadows

- updated model eye gloss microshadow maps


Sound

- new orifice penetration sound effects

- penetration sound effect volume is now dependent on thrust/withdrawal speed

- sounds now play on entering and withdrawing from model orifices


Physics

- updated breast/buttock jiggle physics


Optimization

- environment meshes are now combined to save draw calls

- body decals shaders use UV2 mapset, uv's have been optimized for decals

- reflections are now sourced from a static image


Bugfixes

- clothes now reset when changing pose if previously altered by player

- D collider now moves with D when animating

- updated clothing and makeup shaders to automatically order in render queue

- when running SteamVR with an Oculus headset the D controls are now properly oriented

- fixed issue where Tiffany lip grip joints where not referencing correct parent object

- fixed issue where model's eyes would not look directly at look target/player

- fixed BJ shoot anticipate reaction loop not stopping after shooting

- facial expressions cavity maps updated to properly show creasing

- model Tiffany can now look down at a steeper angle

- hint UI element repositions to correct position on return to model options after shooting

- models now reposition on platform or prop instantly

- D and hand can be toggled at model select screen


Known Bugs

- there are known issues with posing of larger customized models

- larger customized models and auto/stationary modes are not working correctly

- there is a considerable hang when selecting a model (Quest version)
