I spent a long time on finding a good facial angle for this one - almost as long as I did on the painting itself! Since the character has green accents / flesh, I figured I'd try out a green underpainting. All you're seeing here is one straightforward layer of colour applied on green ground. It's still easier to do than traditional painting, but restriction makes creative ^^
