Ancient warrior culture spanning the wilder regions of the galaxy, the Mandalorians mistook the ancient Sith for gods and worshipped them for generations. With the Sith's return in the flesh, what once were roaming bands of pirates have become a religious empire bent on domination.

I can see the Sith ruling over the Mandalorians as Priest-Kings.

2015-11-06 23:51:22 +0000 UTCPretty much. It's an idea that's been around at least since the Tales of the Jedi comics. Since Mandalorians are a multi-species culture, I think it's a good visual to give them a unifying mask design.
