While there are technically four Jedi schools, the fourth, the House of Jeth, is not a location, but a nomadic group of wanderers. Unlike the other houses, a prospective student does not apply. Rather, they are discovered by a Jethan and invited to train in the ways of the Force. The Jeth believe that if the Jedi embody service and selflessness, it stands to reason that the highest level of Jedi mastery is to help without ever being noticed.
Very few know how many Jethans there are, as they value secrecy above all else, and rarely play an obvious hand in galactic events. Those who become Jedi Knights usually take on the role of spies or other clandestine services.

One imagines that the eventual downfall of the Jedi might hinge upon the anxiety generated by knowing the galaxy is rife with uncounted practitioners of mind control...
