Concept Sketches: Early High Society Types
Added 2016-07-09 00:36:59 +0000 UTCEarly drawings of the Harthrows and company. Amon was originally older looking, before I made him a bit more square-jawed and intense. Father Abaddon initially looked mean and kind of ghoulish, I much prefer his present incarnation, being more of a goof.
Asmodea didn't change too much- I originally had an idea that assistants would constantly be restyling her on the fly during the party, so she'd have a different look every time we cut back to her. It was funny enough, but the gag didn't read as well on the page, so I eventually cut it.

The restyling gag sounds fun, but I bet it would probably read better if Dark Science was animated. Otherwise, I'm assuming you'd have to focus on it too much, since it's kind of a side gag.
