Part 2 in Comments

First things first, I sincerely apologise for going off the grid for the last 72 hours. Won't do it again because I won't have to. Tomorrow, I'll probably have something more to say about it. Later today technically, since it's 4 AM.

Truth to be told, and I always tell the truth for better and worse, I sat down here two hours ago and wrote a bit. Knowing it was a bad idea, simply because it always is.

And you know what, even though I tried - because apparently, bad habits like these resurface in trying times  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  nothing good ever comes from writing anything when you're in a compromised state.

Also known as dead tired, frustrated and pissed off. Take it from me, I made that mistake many times back when I didn't know better. 😏 So I'm gonna sleep on it - and see how I feel in the morning. Hopefully, I'll have some good news as well. And if not that, "a gloriously groundbreaking book" in a month or so.

Talk soon.

P.S. This ^ has nothing to do with anyone from the LG Community, quite the contrary. Don't worry, I'll parse everything for you tomorrow/today.

P.S.S. Any copywriters here? Hit me up. 😂 Man, the publishing industry...what a fucking joke.

Now that I'm done playing copywriter and art director for the day, I'm happy to report things are looking much better. Here, it'll be business as usual again starting now. I won't dwell on the negativity, but move forward and make sure the TWO articles in store are up by the end of this week (meaning Sunday). The first is a Q&A I think everyone will find interesting. The second one is a new, unique and experimental feature; a keep-it-or-leave-it-kinda deal where your response determines the outcome. It's worth noting that the Q&A is almost done and should have been up a few days ago - but my work was interrupted by pressing concerns requiring my immediate and full attention. Which explains my 3 day absence earlier - I simply had to shut everything less urgent out to maintain some sanity. Next, I will eat, and delegate some tasks to the art team - who is hard at work and has already delivered several drafts of exceptional quality. I have no doubt the cover will reflect the book's qualities now that it lies in the hands of worthy and skilled professionals. JL, a copywriter from this community, will join the LG Patreon Slack channel where these gentlemen reside - and refine that which I was unexpectedly left to deal with myself. Writing and copywriting are similar yet very different skills, and I have doubts about my capacity for the latter. With his help however, we will make it work. Then - in a few hours from now - I will be back here answering questions again, albeit in a limited capacity as I need to finish the articles planned. So consider this my status report and I'll see you soon. --- Oh and apologies for the unsolicited rant last night - that kind of nonsense will NOT disrupt this feed from this moment forward. Mainly, I wanted to see if there was someone here to help me with another aspect of the work I'm now involved with - copywriting. But I also felt bad for the 3-day leave, didn't want to put out yet another wanted-ad, and thought everything warranted an explanation. Which I failed to provide nonetheless. Anyway, onwards!

“When I sit down to write a book, I do not say to myself, ‘I am going to produce a work of art.’ I write it because there is some lie that I want to expose, some fact to which I want to draw attention, and my initial concern is to get a hearing.” —George Orwell
