i cried too when i saw the news that day. idk why but it hurt more this time...

Jess Min

That's what I've been worrying about too.... :( I just can't stand the thought of it breaking them down...I've struggled with depression for years and it truly does change you..

i was sad when i found out about Hobi. i cried so much. i agree with u this whole damn thing isnt right. they have done sooooo much for korea they shouldnt have had to enlist. i feel like my world is gonna be dark again when he finally goes cuz they're stealing my sunshine away from me.

Baylee

I was sad when Jin left but j-hope hit another part my heart.

Jewelz

I watch Jose Ochoa and DT Parker too. For me it will feel like the sunshine is missing in a way

Ya'll ever think about how crazy it is to feel so personally affected by what happens with bts and especially this military situation. I truly never thought I could care about an "artist" the way I do about them. It feels like my family or best friends are gonna be gone for a couple years....I mean I've loved artist's music before and even liked them as people, but never to the point of being so emotionally invested in them as people. Idk...I just feel lucky to be a part of it all, but sometimes it hurts cause I just love them so much and can't even tell them face to face that I'm rooting for them....πŸ˜πŸ’œ Anyways, needless to say I'm sad about the enlistment, but I'm proud of them πŸ’œ

It will go by fast. If you think about it, Jin has been in for about 80 days already and it feels like last week. So it will go by in no time. The sooner they go the sooner they will come back. So just think its 80 days closer to seeing Jin and one step closer to seeing Hobi and the rest of the members when they go.

Mary

I just hope it doesn't change him too much. Can't stand this sadness :(

Swarali Yeolekar

The sooner they go, the sooner they come back.. At least we know it's their priority to return asap :( fighting, nigel!

This news was a punch to the gut when I first heard. I love all of the members, but I guess I just wasn’t expecting our sunshine to be next in line. This sucks!

Jules

I'm sad too and I thought it would be easier after Jin but it isn't. It's hard to do this seven times. I'm trying to be positive though and one thing that is helping me is thinking about the fact that Jin and Hobi will be the first two back and that will be great because the two of them together is always so much fun

Mel

Hobi is going to be a huge sunshine to all his military brothers and I'm sure that they need him to bring smiles and happiness during their service. That's how I like to think of it.

A big concern of mine is their mental health... from what I've read, it can be a grueling and depressing experience, being taken away from your life for 1.5 years, etc.. and many don't come back the same. I'm hoping they don't lose that bright, passionate, youthful spark in each of them. And ofc hobi is strong but also so soft so I am feeling for him having to go through military training :(

Seneca

I agree with you Nigel, that they shouldn't have to do the military service at all with how much they have provided for not only their home country, but the entire world! but I also see other peoples points of view; BTS have been getting shit for not going to the military earlier for so many years and the government has held that over our heads for YEEEARS! however, BTS have never asked for postponement or exemptions. They don't want to be treated as something special like that, they are proud to serve their country and will definitely come back stronger than ever before, since they can no longer hold the enlistment above all of our heads. I hope they all go and return safely in 2025 and that we'll keep going for a long time <3

Rich families' sons who have government connections get exempt, as well as professional athletes and classical musicians. That's why many argued that BTS does just as much if not MORE than those people to positively represent SK worldwide. The $$$ they bring into the SK economy and the IMMEASURABLE cultural power the provide.. along with all the philanthropic work they'd done.. many politicians supported exempting them, but it wasn't unanimous and there was heated debate on both sides. Most armys like myself are PRESSED like you about it, and international news even questioned why SK was letting go of such a HUGE source of power. At the end of the day, the law is the law, and what can we say as foreigners anyhow.. I'm at least glad BTS told the gov they weren't waiting on a decision anymore, and decided to enlist on their own terms. All we can do now is hope they stay safe and healthy, and send them lots of love/support. We'll stay strong for them, like they're staying strong for us! Fighting!

I don’t want him to go
