Hey hi folks! Here's my first official commission: a beer label with an Adventure Zone (a McElroy fantasy podcast) theme! I followed my usual process here, but ended up using such a large brush that the sketch was hard to follow. Still, it let me get the concept down rather fast, though the pose left a bit to be desired. I hunted around for reference photos and found one with the pose I wanted, then adjusted the sketch to fit - the second pic shows off a much better pose, and it also allowed me to revise the size and position so that the character feels more like he's climbing right out of the label.

The next part, drawing the line art, took a bit longer than usual because my sketch was so sloppy - in future pics, I'll do my best to use a finer brush while sketching to see if it helps! Once the lines are done, though, the rest is therapeutic. I splashed on colors, added some shading, and that was that! :D I tend to finish my pics in Photoshop for the final touches, but I do the color flats in Clip Studio because its paint bucket is far superior - but more on that later!
