Ever since burning out and going on medical leave earlier this year, I've been trying to re-learn how to relax and take care of myself. Traveling, losing my job, moving to the big city, doing freelance work... all of it led me to almost burn out again, but now I think I'm finally back.
For the past week I've been working on a game for #selfcarejam, and forcing myself to get up, work, and then STOP and take care of myself for the evening has helped tremendously. For the first time in a very long while, I think I might have the energy and discipline to work again. On what, who knows, but I feel I'm ready to give it my all. And it would've been much harder without your support; this Patreon is helping me pay for my meds and other things I need to keep going, and knowing you're out there fills my heart with determination.
The holidays are coming and I've got a lot of projects in store, but also a lot of self-care. I'm going to do my best to balance everything out; keep your eyes open for more Design Delve videos, a lot more art, and maybe some surprises!
