March 8th to March 21st

Hey hi folks; the past couple of weeks have been a lot. I'm home, safe and sound, and I hope y'all are too. Please stay safe. <3

I usually work from home during the colder months, so that has helped cushion the blow of the sudden widespread social isolation everyone is undertaking to help flatten the curve of the pandemic. But it's hitting me all the same. And there's a little bit of comfort in knowing that it's not unique to my situation; all the work-from-home veterans I know have acknowledged that this is hard for everyone, whether you're used to it or not. So we should go easy on ourselves, yeah? Let's be proud of what we can accomplish, even if it's just making sure our needs are met. It's a lot; it's enough.

I'm still making progress on Plant Lamp, albeit not as fast as I usually like. But I gotta put all those lessons about pacing myself to good use. I'm really looking forward to sharing more of that story with you, as well as the process of writing it. Some stories come very easily to me, while others need to be written in layers, over multiple passes. There's probably a talk I could give on that, actually.

I've also been streaming, but again, not as much as I'd like. Still, in these strange times my stubbornness with playing every Mega Man game has gotten me out of bed and in front of a camera nearly every weekday, and that's helped start things off on the right foot. As the days get longer and the sun gets brighter, each morning gets a little bit better.
